Iran and Armenia were the focal points of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s meetings in Washington on the sidelines of Nuclear Security Summit in Washington.
Davutoglu confirmed Turkey’s commitment to Armenia-Turkey normalization process and declared it does not approve sanctions against Iran.
He told RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that “Turkey adheres to the process and works on creative ideas for its advancement.”
Clinton informed Davutoglu of the progress in reconciliation within OSCE Minsk Group.
Davutoglu told Clinton that Azerbaijan should also have been invited to the summit and expressed wish that the Armenian issue would not overshadow Turkey-U.S. relations each year.
