She may be known best for her role on the hit reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but Kim Kardashian is trying to branch out as an activist for Armenian rights.
The young socialite has received a significant amount of criticism for her controversial party plans on the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide this year. Kim and Khloe hosted a party in Las Vegas for their older sister’s birthday on the same date as this important event. But Kim has adamantly claimed that she is proud of her Armenian culture and is now looking to bring the issues of this tragic event in Armenian history to light.
In a recent interview with E! News, Kim talked about her desire to challenge President Obama about the systematic denial of the Armenian Genocide. When asked about what she would say to the President, Kim replied, “I would like to talk to President Obama about why the Armenian Genocide is not recognized. I would be honored if he would even consider it.”
